With our platinum plan, we handle scheduling service work with your original installer if they are available, although timelines cannot be guaranteed. For faster turnaround times, you can choose one of our in-network service providers, which also offers a discount on all service work performed. This personalized monitoring guarantees consistent energy production and optimal system performance, providing peace of mind and reducing long-term costs for solar owners.

An issue alert is generated when My Solar Patrol detects a problem with your system or its production through proactive monitoring. Depending on your subscription level, MSP will notify you via email, SMS, phone, or a combination of all three. Upon receiving an alert, Silver and Gold members can coordinate directly with their installers to schedule service visits or opt to work with one of our providers for an additional fee. MSP Platinum members benefit from remote troubleshooting and MSP managing all service scheduling with either the homeowner’s installer or one of our service providers, allowing you to carry on with your day uninterrupted.
Q: Your plans all list a service work discount, how does this work?
A: In the event your solar system requires on-site service and your installer is unavailable or no longer in business, My Solar Patrol will connect you with one of our In-Network service providers. They will complete the necessary service and apply your monitoring plan discount of 2%, 5%, or 8% to the final service price.
Q: How does service work scheduling work with My Solar Patrol?
A: For our Platinum Package members, once an MSP agent has established the need for a site visit, we will coordinate with you, your installer, and/or one of our nationwide In-Network service providers to schedule the appointment. We will communicate the identified issues to the service provider to ensure a focused and efficient repair, thereby reducing on-site repair times and avoiding unnecessary hourly fees. Please note that all “first issue visits” from our In-Network providers incur a truck roll or site visit fee, which is charged by My Solar Patrol before scheduling. This fee includes one hour of service work and ranges from $300 to $500, depending on travel distance. Any applicable service work discounts are not eligible to be be deducted from the original truck roll fee.
